How to Recover Different Types of Passwords

This guide explains the recovery process for each type of password associated with your trading account.

Additionally, this guide also addresses common login issues to help you regain access to your account effectively.

Client Portal Password

This is the main password used to log into your Client Portal.

Common Login Issues and Troubleshooting

  • Unsupported Characters: Some special characters like "&" may not be supported, causing errors such as "Signature Error."

  • Stricter Password Requirements: Recently updated password policies require at least one symbol; failing to meet these standards can cause login issues.

To avoid these login issues, ensure your password complies with the latest requirements.

To recover your Client Portal password:

  1. Visit the FXTRADING.com website and click "Sign In"

  2. Select "I forgot my password"

  3. Enter the email address used during registration

  4. Click "Continue"

  5. Validate the action through the security verification method linked to your account

  6. Create a new password following the security requirements

  7. Use your new password to log in

Note: You may need to complete a captcha during this process. Entering an incorrect captcha multiple times can temporarily lock the reset password page for 24 hours.

If you encounter login issues such as a "Signature Error" or account non-existence notification, check that your password meets the updated security standards.

To change your password while already logged in:

  1. Navigate to "Securities" → "Change Password"

  2. Enter the verification code sent to your registered mobile number

  3. Create and confirm your new password

Password Compliance Requirements

To ensure account security and prevent login issues, adhere to these updated password guidelines:

  • Avoid using unsupported special characters like "&."

  • Include at least one symbol in your password to meet system requirements.

Example of a Compliant Password:

"FXTrade@2023" These measures will help you avoid non-compliance-related login disruptions.

Trading Password

This password is used to log into trading platforms with a specific trading account.

To reset your trading password:

  1. Log in to your Client Portal

  2. Find the trading account in the "Account List" section

  3. Click the 3-dot icon next to the account

  4. Select "Update trading password"

  5. Set a unique password following the on-screen requirements

  6. Click "Confirm" to complete the process

Important: Your trading password must be different from your read-only access password.

Read-Only Access Password

This password allows third parties to view but not trade on your account.

To set or change your read-only access password:

  1. Log in to your Client Portal

  2. Find the trading account in the "Account List" section

  3. Click the 3-dot icon next to the account

  4. Select "Update investor password"

  5. Create a unique password following the security requirements

  6. Click "Confirm" to complete the process

Note: This password must be different from your trading password for security reasons.

Fund Management Master Account Password

If you need to update the password for a Fund Management master account:

  1. Go to the Fund Management section

  2. Click "My Strategies"

  3. Find the strategy you wish to update

  4. Click the three-dot icon next to the strategy name

  5. Select "Update account password"

  6. Enter the verification code sent to your registered mobile number

  7. Create and confirm your new password

Best Practices for Secure Passwords

  • Use secure, unique passwords that meet current system requirements.

  • Avoid reusing old passwords that may no longer comply with updated policies.

  • Always review and follow password guidelines to prevent future access issues.
