Trading Hours Guide

Understanding when instruments are available for trading in your timezone is essential, especially in a decentralized international market without geographical borders. Most instruments are unavailable during weekends, except cryptocurrencies which can be traded on weekends (excluding scheduled weekly breaks and server maintenance periods).

Important Time References

  • FXTRADING.com trading servers operate on UTC+0 timezone

  • Trading hours adjust according to Daylight Saving Time changes in the US, Europe, and Australia

Daylight Saving Time Periods

US Daylight Saving Time (DST)

  • Begins: Second Sunday of March at 2:00 AM (clocks move forward 1 hour)

  • Ends: First Sunday of November at 2:00 AM (clocks move back 1 hour)

European Summer Time

  • Begins: Last Sunday of March at 1:00 AM (clocks move forward 1 hour)

  • Ends: Last Sunday of October at 2:00 AM (clocks move back 1 hour)

Australian Daylight Time

  • Begins: First Sunday of October at 2:00 AM (clocks move forward 1 hour)

  • Ends: First Sunday of April at 3:00 AM (clocks move back 1 hour)

  • Note: Not all Australian states observe daylight saving time

How to Check Trading Hours

In Web Trader:

  1. Click on the desired instrument in the left-side Instruments panel

  2. Click the three-dot icon in the upper left corner of the chart

  3. Select "Security Info..."

  4. Click "All sessions" to view trading hours for each day of the week

In MT4:

  1. Find your desired instrument in the Symbol window

  2. Right-click and select "Specification"

  3. Scroll to the bottom to see trading hours for each day of the week

In MT5:

  1. Find your desired instrument in the Symbol window

  2. Right-click and select "Specification"

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the right panel to view trading hours for each day of the week
