The "INVALID ACCOUNT" error occurs when you cannot log in to the MetaTrader 4 platform. This error typically appears due to one of the following reasons:

  1. Incorrect Login Credentials:

    • Wrong account number

    • Incorrect password

    • Incorrect server selection

  2. Account Status Issues:

    • Your account has been archived (inactive for over three months)

    • The account has not been activated

    • The account has been suspended

How to Fix the "INVALID ACCOUNT" Error

Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Verify Your Login Details:

    • Double-check your account number for typos

    • Make sure your password is correct (check caps lock)

  2. Select the Correct Server:

    • For live accounts, select "FXTRADING.COM-Live"

    • For demo accounts, select "FXTRADING.COM-Demo"

  3. Reactivate an Archived Account:

    • If you haven't logged in for over three months, your account might be archived

    • Contact customer support through Live Chat in the Client Portal to reactivate your account

  4. Try the Web Trader:

    • If the desktop or mobile app continues to show the error, try logging in through the Web Trader platform

  5. Reset Your Password:

    • If you're unsure about your password, reset it through the Client Portal
